Why this site exists
Search this route and you get twelve prices between $49 and $135, presented as if they buy the same day. They do not. On one listing the dune buggy is a Premium upgrade; on another it is $10 or $18 in cash at the dunes; on a third the headline fare is labelled ESSENTIAL and excludes the Ballestas boat, the buggy and hotel pickup altogether. Add the reserve ticket, the Paracas pier fee and the oasis entry and two tours advertised $8 apart can finish $30 apart.
None of that is hidden — it is in the listings' own small print. Putting it in one column next to the price is the whole job of this site.
Where the numbers come from
Prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, pickup points and age limits are read off each operator's own listing, in US dollars, and every tour page carries the same fields in the same order. Where a listing is silent, the row says so instead of guessing.
Ground charges are checked against the authority that sets them: SERNANP publishes the tariff and the visiting window for the Paracas National Reserve and the Ballestas Islands sector, and those figures are linked where they appear. Local fees collected in soles at the pier and the oasis come from the operators' own inclusion lists, which is also why they are quoted in soles.
What we do not do
We do not sell tours, take payments, hold reservations or act as an agent for any operator or platform. We do not accept payment for placement or for a particular description, and no operator has been given a say in how it is written up here.
We also do not showcase reviews we would not repeat to a friend: quoted feedback is short, dated and drawn from verified bookings. Where the criticism is worth acting on — the length of the day, the seasickness on the boat, the buggy that is not included — it is written into the guide prose with the advice attached, not staged as a testimonial.
